COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's ice hockey senior Mike Dizgun (Montreal, Quebec/OCN Blizzard) and junior Ryan Arsenault (Reading, Mass./New Hampton School) were named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, Nov. 11.
Dizgun allowed one goal and made 15 saves against the University of New England during a 5-1 win on Friday, limiting a team that posted three goals to upset nationally-ranked Castleton State College the previous weekend. Dizgun has started two of his team's four contests this year, posting a 1-1 mark with a 3.51 goals-against average. On Nov. 3, Dizgun stopped 28 shots at Norwich University, which was ranked third nationally and has appeared in each of the last three NCAA Division III Tournament Frozen Fours.
Arsenault scored a pair of power-play goals against the University of New England, including the game-winner that came 5:22 into the contest. After scoring four goals as a sophomore, Arsenault is tied for the team lead in goals with three, while the two power-play goals were the first he had netted in his career. His first tally this season came in the opener at the State University of New York at Potsdam on Oct. 26.
The Purple Knights stand 1-3 overall and play their NE-10 opener at Saint Anselm College on Saturday at 3 p.m.
