Men's Ice Hockey's Dizgun Named NE-10 Goaltender Of The Week

(Feb 8, 2010) COLCHESTER, Vt. - Men's ice hockey freshman Mike Dizgun was named Goaltender of the Week by the Northeast-10 Conference, it was announced on Monday. Dizgun earned his second shutout of the season on Tuesday, as he made 32 saves against Southern New Hampshire to give the Purple Knights their 5-0 victory. He tallied another 30 saves against the challenging Middlebury Panthers on Saturday. The Purple Knights will return to their home rink this weekend, hosting Skidmore College on Friday night at 7 p.m. and celebrating their "Senior Day" the following afternoon against Castleton State College. Men's Ice Hockey Suffers 7-2 Loss At Middlebury

(Feb 6, 2010) MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Purple Knight men (4-13-3, 3-10-3 ECAC East, 2-1-1 NE-10) surrendered to a 7-2 decision at Middlebury College (11-4-4, 7-3-4 NESCAC) on Saturday afternoon. For Saint Michael’s, freshman Dan Evarts recorded his first collegiate goal, while senior Tim Geverd tallied his eighth goal of the season in the third period. The Purple Knights will return to Cairns Arena this coming weekend, hosting Skidmore College on Friday night at 7 p.m., and celebrating their “Senior Day” the following afternoon for a men’s and women’s ice hockey double-header against Castleton State College.
