COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's basketball sophomore Corey Crawford II (Dover, Del./The Phelps School) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, Feb. 17. The honor marks his first accolade of the season.
Crawford averaged 16.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 52.6 percent (10-for-19) from the field and 91.7 percent (11-for-12) on free throws during a 2-0 week. In a 66-62 win at Bentley University on Tuesday, Crawford netted 13 points, hitting 7-of-8 from the free throw stripe in the final 1:11 to seal the win. He also tallied seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in the game. In a 74-59 victory over Stonehill College on Saturday, Crawford scored 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting, adding a 4-for-4 showing on free throws, eight boards and two assists.
With three contests remaining, Crawford leads the Purple Knights in scoring (11.6) and assists (69), and is tied for second on the team with 18 steals. Crawford also ranks third among Saint Michael's players in three-pointers (33) and fourth in rebounding (5.6).
The Purple Knights stand 8-15 overall and 5-14 in the league and are back in action on Wednesday when they host Merrimack College at 7:30 p.m. for their home finale.
