Men's Basketball Back On Track With Second Straight Win Over AIC, 68-60

COLCHESTER, Vt.- Saint Michael's shot 46-percent from the field to win their second straight contest over American International, 68-60, on Tuesday night at the Ross Sports Center in Colchester. Senior James Sorrentine scored 18 second half points to lead the Purple Knights to their fourth NE-10 win of the year.

Senior guard James Sorrentine (Pawtucket, R.I./Saint Raphael Academy) dropped 18 second half points to score 21 total on 5-11 shooting from three-point range. Fellow senior, forward Brian Monahan (Kinderhook, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) made it his sixth double-double on the season with 19 points and 13 rebounds in the Purple Knights second straight win in NE-10 play.

For the Yellow Jackets, sophomore forward Ryan Leak (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bayside) led the way with 16 points and 12 rebounds on the night. Freshman guard Sesoo Ikpah (Williamstown, N.J./Lee Academy) scored 13 points and grabbed four rebounds in the fourth loss in the NE-10 for American International. Sophomore forward Aikeem Vanderhorst (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) was held in check by Monahan, scoring only 10 points and two rebounds.

Saint Michael's travels to Syracuse, New York to take on Le Moyne College on Saturday, December 8 with the women at 1:00 p.m. and men at 3:00 p.m.
