Rodrigues is an excellent outside shooter with a great
basketball sense. His pin-point shooting earned him the fifth
most minutes on the floor as a freshman.
As a freshman: Played in all 29 games and made two consecutive starts late in the season ... made his first career start versus Southern Connecticut (Feb. 10), scoring nine points on 3-7 shooting from beyond the arc in 32 minutes played ... in only his fifth career game, he led the Purple Knights to a 88-79 win at Merrimack (Nov. 29) with a career-high 17 points on 4-5 shooting from three-point range ... registered double-digit minutes in 24 of 29 games... led the team in 3-point field goal percentage (.431) for those that attempted more than 50 3-pointers.
High School: Played four years of basketball under his father, Ed Rodrigues, along with four years of football and three years of soccer, at New Bedford High School ... Named Athlete of the Year by the New Bedford Standard Times and his high school ... finished with 938 career points (school record 137 3-pointers) and 405 assists ... averaged 18.6 points per game as a senior and teamcaptain ... a McDonald's All-American nominee as a senior ... named to Standard Times Super Team and Big Three All-Conference Team twice ... team won Big Three championship all three years, advancing to the South Sectional finals as a junior, and the semifinals as a senior ... won a gold medal at the Bay State Games in 2006, averaging 26.5 ppg ... also an all-conference selection in baseball and football.
