An athletic big man that has the capability to step out and hit from mid-range to behind the arc, Monahan will be one of the premier players in the Northeast-10 Conference.  Coming off a league-leading rebounding performance, the 6-6 power forward will dictate the success of this team.
 

As a junior: Started all 29 games he played in, ranking third in the conference in minutes played (37.1) ... he reached the 40-minute plateau on five seperate occasions ... led the conference in rebounds (295) and rebounds per game (10.2)  ... set a career-high 24 rebounds, including 18 defensive rebounds in a win over Assumption (Jan. 11) ... scored in double digits 26 out of 29 games ... ranked eighth in the conference in scoring with 15.6 points per game ... nearly 50-percent from the field, he led the team in field goal percentage (.493) and field goals made (179).

As a sophomore: Finished 11th in the NE-10 in rebounding, and seventh in defensive rebounds ... started all but one contest ... played at least 18 minutes in every game ... led team in rebounding and field goal percentage ... had three double-doubles, including each of the first two games ... had 24 points (8-11 FG, 5-5 FT) at Bentley on Jan. 16 ... made at least half of his field goal attempts in six straight games from Dec. 10-Jan. 7.

As a freshman: Played all 27 games, including six starts ... led team in rebounds, offensive rebounds and rebounds per game ... third in steals ... scored season-high 19 points (8-13 FG) in collegiate debut at Davis & Elkins on Nov. 15 ... had double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds) in second career start at Pace on Dec. 11 ... had 18 points (9-14 FG) and seven rebounds versus Bentley on Jan. 17 ... had season-best 11 rebounds at Saint Anselm on Jan. 29 ... played 45 minutes in final start of season, a double-overtime win versus Le Moyne on Feb. 5 ... had at least one rebound in every game, and scored in all but one contest.

High School: A three-year standout at Christian Brothers Academy ... finished his varsity career with 1,173 points ... the 2003-04 Albany Times-Union Player of the Year and Big 10 Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player ... led CBA to a 24-2 record as a senior and the Section II Class AA Championship ... advanced to state semifinals, dropping a three-point decision to eventual-champion Mount Vernon, the ninth-ranked team in the country ... averaged 16.4 points and 8.4 rebounds as a senior ...
