A lethal outside shooter could crack the 1,000-point plateau as a junior this season.
As a sophomore: Fifth in NE-10 in 3-pointers per game, and led team in 3-pointers and 3-point attempts ... started all but one game ... set program record with 10 3-pointers (10-15 3FG, 11-17 FG), scoring a career-high 34 points versus Pace on Dec. 10 ... played at least 23 minutes in every contest ... had a 3-pointer in all but two games ... scored in double figures in nine of the first 13 games.
As a freshman: Played every game, and started the last 21 contests ... broke the program record for 3-pointers (97) and 3-point attempts (242) in a season previously held by Todd Roberts ‘01 in 2000-01 ... also led the team in scoring, minutes and assists ... led all Division II freshmen in 3-pointers and 3-pointers per game ... second in the NE-10 in 3-pointers and 3-pointers per game ... fourth in the league in minutes per game, and ninth in 3-point percentage ... NE-10 All-Rookie Team selection, and a four-time NE-10 Freshman of the Week ... High School: A star point guard at Saint Raphael Academy under coach and father Tom Sorrentine ... tallied more than 1,000 points in his varsity career ... led squad to the state Division I-AA semifinals as a senior ... an Academic All-State selection, Second-Team All-State, and First-Team All-Area as a senior ... scored 29 points in a quarterfinal win ... averaged a team-leading 18.5 points per game ... also contributed 4.8 assists and 1.3 steals per contest ... connected on 42 percent of his 3-pointers (87-of-208) ... won a state championship as a sophomore ... also a standout pitcher in baseball (squad coached by his father), leading Saint Raphael to the state championship game.
