Goodwin lands on NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll, third Purple Knight lauded this year

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's golf senior John Goodwin (Wolfeboro, N.H./Kent School) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, April 8. He became the third different member of his eight-player team to land on the honor roll this academic year.

Goodwin took seventh over the weekend at the Franklin Pierce University Spring Invitational, his team's first competition since mid-October. He fired a two-day 157, including a 74 during the final round to trim nine strokes off of his Friday total. During the fall portion of the Purple Knights' schedule, Goodwin was an all-conference qualifier at October's NE-10 Championship, helping the team to its best showing since 2000. Saint Michael's later posted its best finish at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) meet since 1997.

The Purple Knights complete their season on April 26, returning to New Hampshire for the Franklin Pierce Spring Invitational at The Shattuck, which will be contested at the Shattuck Golf Course in Jaffrey, N.H.
