Flanagan lands on NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's golf junior George Flanagan (Andover, Mass./Andover) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, Sept. 25.

Flanagan had the best score for the Purple Knights at both of their meets last week during his first two competitions of the year, including firing the lowest score at one meet. On Wednesday at the Vermont Intercollegiate Championship, he shot a 78 to tie for third place overall during his team's runner-up finish. At the Johnson State College Invitational on Saturday, Flanagan fired a career-low 76, tying for the best score at the meet with a teammate while helping the Purple Knights take home the team crown.

Flanagan, who is in his second year of college competition, leads Saint Michael's into a pair of meets this week. The Purple Knights head to Southern New Hampshire University's Penmen Invitational on Thursday before taking part in the two-day NE-10 Championship, which begins Sunday in Boylston, Mass.
