Golf's Mark Mitchell Awarded NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll


COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College golf junior Mark Mitchell (Wilbraham, Mass./Wilbraham & Monson Academy) earned weekly honor roll accolades, it was announced Tuesday by the Northeast-10 Conference.

Mitchell earned medalist honors on Wednesday at the Vermont Collegiate Golf Championship, finishing two-under par 70 and helping put Saint Michael's eight strokes ahead of second placed Castleton State College.

Over the weekend, Mitchell tied for 43rd place out of 105 golfers, finishing 19-over par at the Duke Nelson Invitational two-day tournament.

The golf team's next meet will be held on Sunday, Oct. 4, in Bernardston, Mass. for day one of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. The Purple Knights will tee off at 11:50 a.m.
