A 2004 graduate of nearby Norwich University with a degree in business management, DiMasi was a two-time All-American defenseman on the Cadets' ice hockey team. He helped Norwich win the 2003 NCAA Division III national championship, and following graduation, played professional ice hockey for teams in Georgia, Utah, Italy and the Netherlands.
DiMasi is currently serving as a Resident Director at Saint Michael's, and is enrolled in the graduate school program at the College, where he is expected to graduate in May 2010. He also is in his second season as an assistant men's ice hockey coach for the Purple Knights, a program that his father, Lou, served as head coach from 1982-2007. He helped the squad win the 2009 NE-10 Men's Ice Hockey Tournament Championship.
