Purple Knights Place 11th At NE-10 Championships


COLCHESTER, Vt. - In the final day of the Northeast-10 Golf Championships, the Purple Knights maintained their 11th place standing from day one, finishing just ahead of The College of Saint Rose in the two-day event.

Junior Mark Mitchell (Wilbraham, Mass./Wilbraham & Monson Academy) led the Purple Knights, firing a 15-over par 159 for the weekend to finish tied for 17th place. Sophomore Chris LaPolice (Stamford, Conn./Trinity Catholic) finished second for Saint Michael's, tied for 27th place with a 19-over par 163.

The Purple Knights will return to action on Monday, Oct. 19 in Brewster, Mass. for the NEIGA Championship, which will be held at The Captains Golf Club.
