Kate Lipton Named Assistant Lacrosse, Field Hockey Coach

(Jul 15, 2008) COLCHESTER, Vt. – Saint Michael’s College has announced that Kate Lipton, a 2008 University of Vermont graduate, has been named the Purple Knights’ first full-time assistant women’s lacrosse and field hockey coach. The position is funded in large part by the NCAA Division II Coaching Enhancement Grant (CEG). The purpose of the CEG is to address the issues of access, recruitment, selection and long-term success of women, ethnic minorities and other individuals in Division II who seek to overcome hiring barriers by providing grant money for the creation of assistant coaching positions in Division II. Field Hockey Garners National Academic Team Award; 13 Players Named To Academic Squad

(Feb 25, 2008) COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College field hockey team was one of just 17 programs to receive a 2007 ZAG/NFHCA Division II National Academic Team Award, it was announced on Monday.
