Chisholm lands NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll nod following first career win and shutout

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College field hockey sophomore Jackie Chisholm (New Braintree, Mass./Quabbin Regional) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, Oct. 7. The goalkeeper became the third Purple Knight defensive player in as many weeks to earn recognition.

Chisholm posted her first career win, which went down as her first career shutout, by blanking Southern Connecticut State University, 2-0, on Saturday. Chisholm made four saves while not allowing an Owl who entered the game first in Division II in both points and goals to record any points.

In six contests this fall, all starts, Chisholm has averaged 7.0 saves per contest. On Tuesday, she backstopped the Purple and Gold during an eventual 2-1 loss to seventh-ranked Merrimack College, turning aside four shots.

Saint Michael's, which stands 4-11 overall and 2-5 in the NE-10, hits the road for its next two games, beginning on Saturday at Franklin Pierce University at 1 p.m.
