COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College senior Kemi Brewster (Saint Michael, Barbados/Combermere) and junior Natalie Elvidge (Newton, N.J./Newton) were named to the 2009 Northeast-10 Conference Field Hockey All-Academic Team, it was announced on Thursday.
The duo were two of 15 field hockey players honored by the conference for their academic excellence.
Brewster, an information systems major with a 3.51 Grade Point Average, scored two goals as a senior, netting a goal in each of her final two collegiate games. The midfielder has made the Dean's List every year at Saint Michael's.
Elvidge, an English major with a 3.75 GPA, recorded one goal and tied for the team lead with three assists in 2009. The forward was an NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient as a sophomore, and Gold Scholar as a freshman.
