In the visitors' half of the eighth inning, Wild singled to drive in junior Chris Puliafico (Sharon, Mass./Sharon), who knocked a double earlier in the frame, and pull Saint Michael's to a 3-1 deficit. After Tice bunted for a single to load the bases, Livingston drew a base on balls that sent sophomore Don McGuirl (Warwick, R.I./Saint Sebastian's School) around to score.

Tice scored on an error to knot the game at three runs apiece before Buteau's sacrifice fly plated Livingston for the go-ahead run. Guild pitched a perfect eighth and ninth inning while striking out one batter in each frame to secure the win for the visitors.

In game two, Tice was 3-for-5 with two RBIs, while Wild went 2-for-4 and scored. Begnoche hit 3-for-5, McGuirl was 2-for-3 with a run and junior Nick Myers (Canton, Conn./The Master's School) struck out six batters and allowed just one earned run during a complete-game victory.
