Baseball's Matt Beaulieu Named To Daktronics Division II All-East Region Second Team

(May 13, 2009) COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College junior Matt Beaulieu (Littleton, Mass./Lawrence Academy), coming off of one of the finest seasons in program history, was named to the 2009 Daktronics NCAA Division II Baseball All-East Region Second Team, it was announced on Wednesday. Beaulieu is one of three outfielders named to the Second Team, as he batted .448 this spring and set a program record with 56 base hits. [more]

Baseball Splits Doubleheader With Plattsburgh, Wins Nightcap, 6-4

(Apr 29, 2009) Colchester, Vt. – The Saint Michael’s College baseball team (15-19) split a doubleheader with Plattsburgh State University (Vt.) (23-15, 7-5 SUNYAC), dropping the first game, 9-4, and winning the second game, 6-4, Wednesday afternoon on Doc Jacobs Field on Senior Day. Senior Joe Gil (Andover, Mass./Andover) went 3-for-7 with two runs scored and an RBI in his final two games as a Purple Knight. The Purple Knights’ 15 wins this season is the fourth most wins in the program’s history. [more]
