COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College women's tennis player Marran Ranks (Stratham, N.H./Exeter) earned the Northeast-10 Conference Freshman of the Week award on Tuesday, while a golfer and a men's tennis player were named to the league's weekly honor roll.
Ranks led the Purple Knights to a 5-4 win at the College of Saint Rose on Saturday, as she won in both No. 5 singles (6-2, 6-4) and No. 2 doubles (8-2).
In men's tennis, sophomore Craig Lindabery (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) received an honor roll nod. He won at No. 5 singles (6-0, 6-1), and also earned an 8-1 doubles' win, helping the Purple Knights to a 6-3 victory versus SOuthern New Hampshire University on SUnday.
In golf, freshman Mark Mitchell (Wilbraham, Mass./Wilbraham & Monson Academy) earned honors. He shot a two-day total of 77-78 - 155 at the NE-10 Championships on Sunday and Monday, tying for 13th place and finishing just one stroke behind the top freshmen at the event.
