COLCHESTER, Vt. - Three Saint Michael's College basketball players were named to the Northeast-10 Conference weekly honor roll, it was announced on Monday afternoon.
In men's basketball, senior Brendan Mullins (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South) and junior Brian Monahan (Kinderhook, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) received honors. Mullins netted 25 points on Tuesday at Franklin Pierce College, and added 11 points, six assists and four steals in Saturday's 68-60 victory versus Assumption College in the First Round of the NE-10 Tournament on Saturday at the Ross Sports Center. Monahan notched his 12th double-double of the season in Saturday's playoff win, recording 19 points and 13 rebounds, and added 12 points at Franklin Pierce.
In women's basketball, freshman Michelle Otey (Northborough, Mass./Algonquin Regional) earned recognition. She averaged a team-best 12 points, along with 5.5 rebounds per contest, in a pair of overtime setbacks. She netted a career-high 18 points off the bench at Franklin Pierce on Tuesday, and added six points in Sunday's loss at Bryant University in the First Round of the NE-10 Tournament.
