COLCHESTER, Vt. - Three Saint Michael's College student-athletes were named to the Northeast-10 Conference weekly honor roll, it was announced on Monday.
In men's lacrosse, freshman Bryan Zaremba (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset) was chosen. Zaremba scored the game-winning goal in the Purple Knights' 7-5 victory versus Bentley College in the NE-10 Quarterfinals on Saturday. With the win, Saint Michael's advances to the NE-10 Semifinals, where the Purple Knights will visit top-ranked Le Moyne College on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
In women's lacrosse, sophomore Amanda Soule (Hartland, Vt./Woodstock Union) received recognition. Soule tallied four goals and 15 draw controls in a pair of contests last week, as Saint Michael's concluded the season with an 8-6 overall record, and a 5-5 mark in league play.
In softball, sophomore Maggie Russell (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) earned an honor roll nod. Russell batted .458 (11-24) with five runs scored and just two strikeouts in a 3-5 week. She added a stolen base, and didn't commit an error in center field.
