COLCHESTER, Vt. - Senior attacker Brynne Curran (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) of the women's lacrosse team (5-2, 3-1 NE-10) was one of six Saint Michael's College student-athletes to receive weekly recognition by the Northeast-10 Conference for their play through the week of March 31.  Curran scored 10 goals on the week, including three against Bryant to become the all-time leader at Saint Michael's in career points with 158.  This momentous occasion came just two games following her record breaking 129th goal against American International.

In addition to Curran's notable accomplishments, classmate Courtney Wakem (Tiverton, R.I./Tiverton)-the reigning NE-10 Goalkeeper of the Week-14 saves in a 1-1 week for the Purple Knights.  Also the ECAC Division II Goalkeeper of the Week, last week, Wakem made six saves against Franklin Pierce in her and the team's fourth straight win.

In men's lacrosse (3-5, 2-3 NE-10), sophomore Charlie Niznansky (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield-Ludlowe) scored three goals and one assist against the top two teams in the NE-10 in Le Moyne and Southern New Hampshire.  In a 17-8 loss to SNHU, he scored a pair of goals and an assist to lead Saint Michaels' offense.

On the tennis courts, the men (7-5, 6-1 NE-10) and women (9-4, 6-1 NE-10) each enjoyed sweeps of Franklin Pierce and Pace to move up the ranks in conference play.  On the men's side, junior John Lescure (Kennebunk, Maine/Berwick Acad.) was noted for a pair of No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles wins on the road versus Franklin Pierce and at home against Pace.  For the women, senior Michelle Wood (Chatham, N.Y./Chatham) won all four matches she partook in, highlighting the week by allowing only one point in singles play (6-0, 6-1; 6-0, 6-0).  Sophomore Lindsay Horne (Scituate, Mass./Scituate) was also recognized for rolling to a No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles win at Franklin Pierce, to advance Saint Michael's to an 8-0 victory.
