Cary Rivett, a standout scholar-athlete at Northeast-10 Conference rival Southern New Hampshire University, has been named womens soccer assistant coach at Saint Michaels College, it was announced by head coach Marcel Choquette today. Rivett was a standout scholarship student-athlete for four years at SNHU, and will begin her duties with Saint Michaels in mid-August. [more]

(Jul 26, 2010) COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College has announced the dates for its boy's and girl's ice hockey pre-season warm-up clinic, directed by men's ice hockey head coach Chris Davidson. Five legendary Saint Michaels College student-athletes and a championship-winning team will be inducted into the SMC Athletics Hall of Fame on September 17 at the DoubleTree Hotel in South Burlington. The Class of 2010 includes: slick-fielding heroic baseball shortstop Donald Bucky Egan 64; All-American multi-sport student-athlete Megan (Gately) Trotta 93; two-sport record-setting goaltender Jennifer (Kay) Berger 94; men's ice hockey four-time All-American Kyle Lanfear 98; three-sport standout scholar-athlete Sara Pope 04; and the 1988 ECAC Champion Saint Michaels field hockey team. (Jul 20, 2010) COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team, led by seventh-year head coach Jen Niebling, was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) 2009-10 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll for Division II, it was announced on Tuesday. This award honors teams throughout the country that carry the highest grade point averages for the entire season. [more]

The Saint Michaels College mens and womens ice hockey teams announced their 2010-11 schedules today, with the two teams scheduled to play a combined 29 home games from late-October until late-February. The Saint Michaels men open the 2010-11 season on November 19 with a 7 p.m. contest versus ECAC East rival University of Southern Maine at Cairns Arena in South Burlington. The Saint Michaels women begin the season in October for the first time in program history, as the Purple Knights host Buffalo State College on October 30 at 3 p.m. [more]
