Lynn was an outstanding two-sport athlete during her days at Saint Michael's. In field hockey, she was a two-time team captain, finishing her career second on the Lady Knight all-time scorers list, with 37 career points. Despite having no experience in lacrosse prior to coming to SMC, and in just a two-year varsity lacrosse career (lacrosse was not a varsity sport until 1983), Lynn ranks 9th on the all-time scorer's list with 54 points. A two-time team captain in this sport as well, she led the Lady Knights to their only ECAC Championship bid (1984). She was twice selected All-East by the U.S. Women's Lacrosse Association, and was also named to the COSE Memorial Lacrosse League All- Star Team. An Academic All-American in 1984, Lynn is one of only two SMC student/athletes to ever receive both the George 'Doc' Jacobs and the Victor V. Lemieux Awards for athletic and academic excellence.
