Considered along with co-inductee 'Luke' Steffens to be the finest pitcher in the College's long baseball history. In the year of his induction, he still holds six individual records: most wins in a season (6), most wins as a junior (5), most wins as a senior (6), best career winning percentage (.824, 14-3), lowest season ERA (1.44), and lowest career ERA (2.13). Racicot lost just one game in each of his three seasons with the Knights, pitching 15 complete games. He threw four career shutouts. As a senior, he served as team captain, was named team MVP, and was named Vermont Athlete of the Month for April, 1972. He was elected to the Outstanding College Athletes of America in 1971 and 1972, an award honoring "those who combine scholarship, character, leadership, and athletic ability." Racicot was also a team captain and standout on SMC's club football team.
