Jennifer Kay Berger
Class: Class of 1994
Sport: Soccer, Lacrosse
Enshrined: Inducted September 17, 2010

Jennifer was a very talented two-sport athlete and consummate teammate – always ready to do whatever was best for her team.  She was a four-year starter at goalkeeper for the soccer team, and backboned her team to four consecutive appearances in the Northeast-10 Conference playoffs.  Over her four year career, she started every game, made a record 874 career saves, and collected 27 victories – 18 by shutout.  At the time of her induction, her 874 career saves remains a Saint Michael’s record, and is second all-time in Northeast-10 Conference history. In her senior year, she was named All-New England, Second Team – the first and only Purple Knight goalkeeper to achieve this level of distinction.  In lacrosse, she played in goal and in the field – wherever her coach needed her.  She was a goalie as a first-year and junior, leading the team to a collective record of 12-8 over those two years, and set a program single-game record with 30 saves against Plymouth State in 1988.  A team captain in both sports, Jen was honored with the George ‘Doc’ Jacobs Award in her senior year, recognizing her considerable accomplishments, selfless team spirit, and dedication to Saint Michael’s athletics. She graduated holding six soccer and three lacrosse goalkeeping records.
