One of the greatest female skiers in the College's history, Carolyn was a standout in both slalom and giant slalom competition. At the time of her induction, she is one of only four SMC skiers to be named EISA All-East four times -- and just the second woman to achieve the feat -- and is the only Lady Knight alpine skier to be All-East for her entire career! She won two NCAA Division II slalom championships (1985 and 1987), and placed either second or third in the giant slalom championship all four years. Her individual titles are two of nine won by Lady Knights since the women's ski program went varsity in 1982--but make up half of the program's alpine championships! In her senior year, she almost captured the NCAA II titles in both slalom and giant slalom. She finished second in both events, just missing the giant slalom title by 0.2 seconds, and the slalom title by 0.05 seconds! A two-time team captain, she was awarded the Victor V. LeMieux in 1988 for loyalty and leadership in athletics.
