Rachel is one of the most talented and decorated three-sport athletes of the modern era. A four-year star in soccer, she is one of only two Knights to ever be named All-New England four times. A three-time All Northeast-10 Conference choice and two-time team captain, she finished her great career with 24 goals and 14 assists for 62 points. She currently ranks #5 on the all-time scorer's list.
Her other sport was nordic skiing - and it is a mystery why she only competed for one season. She did so in her sophomore year (the same year she played lacrosse), winning every nordic race the team was entered in! She capped the incredible season with two EISA Division II Championships - taking the nordic individual crown, and teaming with two other members of the Knight nordic team to win the relay championship. It marked the first time that any nordic skier - male or female - had won two championships in a single season, and was the first time any SMC skier had captured two crowns in a season since Hall of Famer Dave Irish '67 did so in slalom and nordic in 1967. Her performance qualified her for the NCAA Division I Regional Championships, and she was also named EISA All-East that season.
Rachel has taken a break from teaching kindergarten and directing a preschool to be home with her two children. She is also involved in community service activities in her area, volunteering for the Community Support Network, for After School Programs in needy communities, and on the Recycling Team. She and her husband Rudy and children currently reside in Bolton, Mass.
