At his induction almost 20 years after his graduation, Rick remains the most prolific goal scorer in Purple Knights lacrosse history; a very talented and tough forward who also provided valuable leadership through three coaching changes during his career. After collecting six goals and an assist in his rookie season of 1989, he became an offensive machine, leading his team in goals for the next three years, and in points as a sophomore and senior. Rick collected 33 goals and a team-high 15 assists as a sophomore, 31 goals and four assists as a junior, and a remarkable 39 goals and 21 assists as a senior. His 60-point season in 1992 was the second-highest in program history, and remains one of only three 60+ point seasons ever recorded by a Purple Knight. He is the only player in the College’s lacrosse history to score 30 goals or more in three straight seasons, and was a two-time All-Coxe Conference, First Team selection. Rick graduated as the program’s #2 all-time scorer, with career totals of 109 goals and 41 assists for 150 points – a position he still holds at his induction. He also remains as the program’s all-time goal scoring leader (2.48 goals per game), and is one of only three men to surpass the 100-career-goal plateau.
