Doc Jacobs Field Complex

 

On June 24, 1984 Saint Michael’s dedicated its varsity athletic fields in the memory of George ‘Doc’ Jacobs. He was a legendary figure in the Saint Michael’s athletic department, serving Purple Knight athletics as a coach and athletic director from 1947 to 1968.

 


The ‘Doc’ Jacobs fields are the home of the varsity soccer, lacrosse, baseball, softball, and field hockey teams.

The Saint Michael’s tennis courts are located next to the Doc Jacobs Fields. Saint Michael’s has been the host of the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Tennis Championships on several occasions.
