Saint Michael's College

Jack is one of the more colorful and decorated athletic alumni in the annals of the College. While at Saint Michael's, he was a member of the junior varsity basketball team for one season, and was very involved in the interclass sports (intramurals). However, he competed and coached independently on an international scale in the sports of track & field, boxing, rugby, basketball, and wrestling -- a career that continues to bring accolades at the time of his induction -- 44 years after his graduation from Saint Michael's! The long list of athletic achievements Jack has garnered includes: eight-time New York Athletic Club Boxing Champion, Decathlon Champion (US Army, Europe, 1955), and Eastern US AAU Decathlon Champion. Jack has coached championship teams in wrestling, track & field, boxing, basketball, rugby, and field hockey at nine different universities in the United States and Europe.
