Kathy joined forces with Hall of Fame member Lynn Taplin
Pisanelli '84 to propel women's lacrosse to dramatic prominence in
the early 1980's. When she was a first-year student, lacrosse was a
club sport at Saint Michael's. By the end of her junior year,
however, the Knights were fighting for the ECAC Championship! A
two-time team captain, she is fourth in all-time scoring at the
time of her induction (81-7-88) - ranking first among those players
with fewer than four-year varsity careers. She still holds three
Saint Michael's records - highlighted by her 61-point season of
1984. She scored an incredible 56 goals that year, leading Saint
Michael's to a best-ever record of 9-1, and the program's first bid
for the ECAC Championships. In that magical season, Kathy never
scored fewer than four goals in any game! During her three-year
varsity career, she led the Knights to victory in nearly 75 percent
of their games.
