Miranda E. Galbraith
Class of 1997
Field Hockey, Lacrosse
Inducted October 21, 2005

One of Saint Michael's most highly-decorated female student-athletes, Mandee was an outstanding two-sport athlete during her undergraduate years at the College. She epitomized the phrase "student-athlete." As a senior in 1997, she was named the New England College Athletic Conference Division II Female Athlete of the Year and was also a GTE National Academic All-American! She was the first woman from Saint Michael's ? and at the time of her induction remains the only woman ? to have ever been named the NECAC Athlete of the Year. A three-time CFHCA All-American in field hockey, she was named All-Northeast-10 Conference First Team, and was selected to play in the prestigious North/South Division I/II All Star Game as a senior. She was also a standout in lacrosse, graduating as the program's all-time leader in career assists. Her teams were dominant throughout her career: lacrosse ranked second in the nation in scoring offense and margin of victory in her senior year, and field hockey made three championship appearances. She received the prestigious Roger F. Keleher '15 Award, given annually to the College's most outstanding senior scholar-athlete.
