Kate was one of the most versatile women athletes in College
history, participating in field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse.
In field hockey, she was a two-time team captain, and a four-year
starter. In basketball, she was a key member of the Lady Knight
varsity for four years during one of the most successful stretches
in the program's history. During her tenure, the Lady Knights were
64-40 (62% winning percentage). Kate was also a team captain in
lacrosse, and during her junior and senior seasons, the team was a
combined 16-4 (80% winning percentage). A living example of what
determination and hard work can achieve, Kate maintained her
three-sport status despite the adversity of a knee injury that
nagged at her throughout her college years. At the close of her
senior year, she received the prestigious Victor V. LeMieux Award
for loyalty and leadership in athletics.
