Jennifer A. Brown
Class of 1994
Field Hockey
Inducted October 18, 2003

Possibly the greatest midfield player in Purple Knight field hockey history, Jen played a critical role in establishing SMC field hockey as a perennial New England power. She was the first two-time CFHCA All-America in College history, and was the first non-senior to ever be recognized as an All-American. She was a talent at both ends of the field - one of the Knights' toughest defensive players, yet she also graduated as one of the program's top 10 scorers with 8 goals and 15 assists for 31 points. Over the course of her career, this two-time captain led the Knights to a 44-18-4 record and three ECAC Championship appearances (70% winning percentage). She won the College's prestigious Roger Keleher Award as SMC's top senior student-athlete. After graduation, Jen was selected to play in the prestigious North vs. South All-Star Game, the USA Field Hockey "A" Camp, and was the only non-Division I player in the country selected to participate in the 1994 US Olympic Festival in St. Louis, where her team captured the silver medal!
