Michelle Bougor Brannigan
Class of 1998
Soccer
Inducted September 15, 2006

Shelly is considered one of greatest players in Saint Michael's College soccer history, and unquestionably reigns as the program's most explosive goal scorer. She commanded respect from the opposition as a quick-as-lightning, multi-talented forward for the Knights through the mid-1990's. A determined force from the beginning of her freshman season, she led Saint Michael's in scoring in each of her four years, and graduated as the program's all-time leading scorer (an honor she still holds at the time of her induction) with 50 goals and 20 assists for 120 career points. She was also the first (and at the time of her induction remains the only) soccer player in College history – male or female – to score 50 goals in a career. She was consistently among the Northeast-10 Conference's Top Ten scorers in each of her four seasons, finishing as high as #2 in her junior season of 1996. She was also frequently featured among the national Division II scoring leaders. A three-time All Northeast-10 Conference selection, she graduated owning nine individual Saint Michael's scoring records.
