Doherty joins women's lacrosse senior Annie Martin (Mattapoisett, Mass./Bishop Stang) as co-chairs of the College's chapter of Hope Happens Here, which was established during the 2015-16 school year under the direction of men's ice hockey alumni Danny Divis '17 and Justin McKenzie '17 to promote mental health awareness and mental well-being among college students, in particular student-athletes. Hope Happens Here's Saint Michael's chapter continues to hold awareness events, including the popular Pie a Purple Knight, while the foundation has spread to more than a dozen colleges.
